Default S4 to Ableton (Like 'The Bridge')

    Hey guys,

I was wondering if anybody has figured out how to record mixtapes (live mixes) into ableton for editing afterwards, I know The Bridge records to an .als file but is there a way to have ableton record each deck on the S4 and any possible way to send Midi from the faders which can then be edited (or tidied) later in ableton...

I have an SL3 but moved to the S4, I know I could just 'get it right the first time' but the feature would be awesome. I've done both dubspot tutorials to no avail (the faders no longer work) and I've since upgraded to the Scratch S4 which allows 'External Mode' so I was wondering if there was a way...

Somebody has bound to have figured this out!

    Thanks Guys!

You can route each channel using Soundflower (look it up, there are tutorials everywhere) for each track recording/ableton effects, but as far as midi mapping going over, no luck. The S4 doesn't send MIDI signals when hooked into Traktor, unless you come up with your own full MIDI Mapping for it.

That's because in traktors preferences your still in the "external" selection, unselect "external" and select "internal" after you've routed everything. Your faders will come back, I experienced the same issue, felt kinda dumb afterwards lol.
