Quick s4 question

Did anyone ever buy a traktor s4 from the us and use it in Ireland or England to be used with 3 pin ? Is the s4 bus powered so you would not need to use the ac power adapter so you could buy it from America .. And would the disc with the software work on a European computer ? Advise would be greatly appreciated

it comes with a universal ac unit. it includes plugs for different countries, including the US, UK, Germany, and so on. so you don't need an adapter or anything.

and yes, the software works independent of your location.

when considering importing, you should worry about things like import tariffs and international warranty. but from the technological side of things, you won't run into any issues.

So if I bought a traktor s4 from a us supplier it will be unversal so it could be used in Ireland ? Is that the same with the software ? As I know from exsperience that not all CDs work in ireland that I used from America if you could help me on this it would be great

I'm in Spain (ex-pat), and I bought from DJTT. The package arrived, but got caught in customs for almost six weeks, they were not helpful in anyway to get it released and had to pay a hell of a lot "admin" charges. This was on top of the duty I expected to pay.

However, I know the UK and Ireland are infinitely better at handling such items and rarely delay a package more than a few days.

Don't worry about the adaptor, it's one of the "world" adaptors, unclick the US one and slide in the UK one .. seconds to do.


Whoever you buy from MAKE SURE THEY ARE AN NI APPROVED SELLER.

if not, kiss goodbye to any warranty ..... been there, done that, it's not fun. You may also need to return it to the US for any problems you have ...at your own cost. These things have to be thought through fully.

Saying that my S4 seems to be bullet proof, it's been used for hours in almost 40C temps on the beach, as well as in a rainstorm (yes it rains in Spain) in a field. Don't you just love the outdoor life ..

Thanks alot this really helped me I think I'll give the whole warranty thing a risk and not to worried about customs and I've never got caught out with it ever I seen an s4 on eBay and thay were much cheaper to buy online in the us than in Ireland
