    Default New Mixer Recommendations

    Hi Everyone,

I'm looking into upgrading my DJ equipment and I was wondering if you have any suggestions. Currently, I have a Numark NS7 but I'm unsatisfied with the controller's software and performance. I'm not a big fan of Serato Itch.

I really like Traktor so I am thinking about buying a Traktor Scratch Certified mixer with either 2 CDJs or Vinyl turntables. I am looking into the Pioneer DJM-T1 because of its integrated MIDI controls but I've heard the mixer is missing a few key features and that it's pretty overpriced.

Is there anyone out there who has the T1 who will recommend it or are there any other Traktor 2 channel mixers that are better? Also, is it smart sticking with Traktor when the industry standard is SSL?

    Thanks for the help,

    Hollisto

Quite untrue ... that depends on your location and if you are planning on lugging your own gear anyhow it makes no difference.

Denon DNX1600. I just got one having the same needs as you and I'm VERY happy with it. There's a 2 channel version called the DNX600 but I can't verify if it's Scratch certified.

Traktor certified, MIDI controls, sounds great, well built, nice fx section, affordable.

I'm an ex ITCH/NS7 user who went Traktor and haven't looked back.

I'd almost be tempted to go for separate boxes.

    $250 Xone:22
    $150 DN-HC1000S - midi controller
    $399 Audio 6 /Traktor Duo.

They should all sit nicely in a small flight case together for under 1k
