S2 Connectivity Issue

hey guys! need your help. traktor can't detect my S2 when both s2 and traktor are already running. I had to plug my S2 first then run traktor or turn off the S2, connect it and turn it on. this is a dilemma on switching djs quickly on the same S2 unit (although I haven't tried it on other equipment). i'm trying to keep the dead air as little as possible on switching djs. so little that we can get away like it's a break of a song. is there a work around for this that you can help me with? thanks!

As long as the S2 is on and connected before the next DJ opens Traktor you guys should be fine. That is the recommended practice for all controllers with a soundcard you pretend to use with any software. It works a bit better on OS X but you should to it the way I just explained to ensure stability.
