Controller with good jogs (Stanton DJC4 vs. Reloop Terminal Mix vs. Vestax Typhoon)
Hi!
I'm looking to get my first (all in one) controller. I've been DJ'ing for almost 10 years now with vinyl and DVS and some CDJ's aswell. Feel of the jogs is what I care about most since I come from turntables. Crossfader should be light enough for scratching too of course and I hope cue buttons are there too.
Has anyone here tried the jogs on Reloop Terminal Mix 2 (or 4)? Can you compare them to other controllers or CDJ800/900/1000/2000-jogs? I'm very tempted and DJ Flip has a nice video of scratching with them on Reloop's website.
How about jogs on OEM-controller Stanton DJC4? It's 50€ cheaper than Reloop and I haven't really red or heard anything negative about it.
I don't care about the software (I have Traktor 2 Pro and I know how to map) they bundle with, but since Reloop and Vestax are Serato Intro ready, that's just a plus. I have no intention of using VDJ.
I play mostly hip hop, rnb, disco, soul, funk, reggae, etc. if that matters.
Would you choose Reloop over Stanton and why? Should I even consider Vestax Typhoon Black? I really don't enjoy using slider-EQ's, but I could live with that since it's 100-150€ cheaper. And I do have a budget of 200-400 euros.
S2 is off the list since its jogs are pure junk for me. And please don't mention Numark on this topic.
