Default Modifier Help needed to toggle between Decks A/C & B/D

    Hi guys,
I have a request for all you mapping gurus out there.

I have my BCD2000 (Don't Laugh ) mapped to Traktor 2.6 with the basic controls I use for Decks A & B so far so good.

I am using the supplied BCD3000 Tsi with some changes that I have made.

I have two free BUTTONS with LED and i would like to be able to map these as MOD 2 & MOD 3 to TOGGLE between A/C & B/D, the problem I have is when I try to map a Modifier to these buttons I appear not to have a TOGGLE option available, so I guess my question is how do I do this?

EXAMPLE FOR MOD 2 - This is what I would like it to do:

When Button is not pressed I have control of Deck A as normal
When Button is pressed the LED Illuminates and it now controls Deck C
When Button is Pressed again LED does not Illuminate and control returns to Deck A.

Any help you guys can give with regards to mod values etc would be most helpful.

I know I will need to go through all the commands of deck A+B and duplicate them for deck C+D this is not a problem, my problem is with the Modifiers values etc

    Thanks in advance

Hi, add this modifiers to map toggle between button.

    Add in > modifiers > modifier 2 / type-button / mode-direct/ 1 (modifiers M2=0, - )
    Add in > modifiers > modifier 2 / type-button / mode-direct/ 0 (modifiers M2=1, - )

Toggler in 1 button, i have this example in MC6000 map.
Default control A (M2=0), if button is pressed then control C (M2=1).
Press button again to back control A (M2=0).

    This is correct.

I assume you're using BCD in standard mode? If you set your BCD3000 in to advanced mode every LED buttons will act toggle and all you need to do is to map one "HOLD" modifier and it will play toggle. Only a note.

Hi Stewe thanks for the quick reply, yes I'm using it in standard mode.

As i am fairly new to mapping I really do your help.

First of all let me apologies for being a Noob at computers, I'm just self taught....lol otherwise i would have caputered a screen pic to expalin this.

My midi commands for this button are as follows: Button = F0 / Led = cc.19

So I need to add Modifier #2 twice, one for button and 1 for led ?

I get lost when it comes to the values etc, maybe if I show you what I'm doing you could fill in where i leave the ?'s

    add in MODIFIER #2 / In / Global / Direct / n/a

    Device Mapping Section:

    LEARN
    Ch.01.Note.FO

    Mapping Details Section:

    conditions - Modifier ? Value ? .................Modifier ? Value ?

    type - Button
    interaction - Direct
    Assignment - Global

    Button Options Section:

    set to value - ?

    add out MODIFIER #2 / In / Global / Direct / n/a

    Device Mapping Section:

    LEARN
    Ch.01.cc.019

    Mapping Details Section:

    conditions - Modifier ? Value ? .........................Modifier ? Value ?

    type - LED
    interaction - Output
    Assignment - Global

    Button Options Section:

    set to value - ?

I hope you understand my way of explaining it, and that you don't mind me asking this favour of you.

You sure for LED assignment? CC.019 is code assigned to left jogwheel. You should use same F0 note for button where you got modifier mapped in.

The parameters you have posted unfortunately don't say much on what you need to accomplish here.

Sometimes LED (Out) assignment are the same like Note (In).

    For example in Denon MC6000:
Jog Encoder (In / CC 081), are the same like Out / CC 081 (Turn Off LED command for mixer section in MC6000).
In Denon's Out / CC 080 Turn On Led, Out / CC 081 Turn Off Led, other led's are Turn On / CC 074, Off / CC075, Blink / CC 076.

Mapping LED's in most Denon's are quite different like S2/S4 or other controllers.

    Hi again Stewe,
I had a cheat sheet from the Internet with all the commands and now looking at it again I see your point regarding the codes appearing to be the same for Jogwheel as for this LED, although I don't use the Jogs because they are crap anyway.

I take it you know the controller I'm talking about is actually a BCD2000 with the BCD3000 Tsi maybe that's the reason? I don't know.

BCD23000 Cheat Sheet for midi mapping.jpg

What I have done today is duplicated all commands for decks A&B to create the commands for decks C&D
This all seems to work OK, without the modifiers I now move Vol Fader for example on deck A and it moves both A+C so I know I have done this correct when i sort out the modifiers.

I have mapped both the buttons I am going to use as modifiers with the commands FO & CC.19 / C#1 & CC.11 and when i press the button it illuminates and toggles for both.

What I need help with is:
In the (modifiers conditions) what should these values be ?
In the (Button options) what should this value be?

    Thanks again.

They are crap if you want do some scratching but for pitch bending and controlling effects they are just fine.

I know that old fella very well, in fact, I made some advanced traktor mappings for him and posted it to traktorbible site. You can check it there. I never used bcd2000 so can't really tell if bcd3000 mappings are going to work with it but from image you posted it seems the MIDI is the same and if both of units are using same MIDI channel as well that would be reason of multiple volume fader plays you are talking about.

In the (modifiers conditions) what should these values be ?
In the (Button options) what should this value be?
This really depends on how your modifiers are set and what you want to achieve.

    AHHHHHHH FINALLY

Ok guys I've done it and I must say I'm well pleased with myself and my mapping

The only thing I can't seem to get is the LED to light up when I'm in Decks C&D which would be nice to let me know which decks I'm controlling but I guess for my first attempt it will need to do for now, The important thing is I can now control 4 Decks with it until Behringer decide to release the CMD4a which is my next purchase.

Thanks to both you guys for your help today.
