You might want to check two things:
1 is your USB connector port
2 is your pc USB port & settings

For point 1, make sure there is an orange block present in the connector, that seperates the top pins from the bottom ones.

If this is missing, you need to sort it.
Either device something that seperates it, or go back to your retailer to have it sent to Native Instruments.

I checked the pins nothing wrong, the block is there
I tried a few things and it seems the S4 now has fully functional lights on it that actually stay on
My only issue now though is nothing is responsive, the crossfader now shows up in traktor which is good
but through the mapping settings i cant seem to get the s4 to respond to anything done on the set itself

    any ideas? screenshot my settings?

Does your IN-port Out-port shows an S4 as a device?

Also your faders ain't showing up. You seem to run traktor in external mixer mode?

Must be something with the usb port on your pc or s4. Did you check in configuration panel in windows in the device manager is there is an error on the usb port?
