love the dicers on my turntables, i mainly use them for cue points so i can flick around my tracks easier,

now the denon decks, i got them on friday, iv been wanting to get CDJs for some time but couldnt justify the the price of the pioneers so stuck with turntables,

untill last week when i got these for £300 each, really happy with them, solid decks, they feel very similar to the pioneers in the way they feel.

iv got them set up with Engine, and this works flawlessly, i thought the waveforms would cause me an issue as im used to traktor but again this was fine.

overall i love them and i think its a shame these decks didnt do as well as they deserve.

o only have a small studio room so the MR5s do me fine, i also have to bung the ports up to help control the bass, i think the 8s would have been to much ha : )

i dont scratch as i cant haha, im more into mixing and blending.

i only got the denon cdjs on friday so before then my technics were pushed closer,

i have now moved them out to make way for the CDJS, although they are quite far apart mixing isnt really an issue,

They are starting to show up more & more in people's setups, particularly over the last few months- the 50% price drop has probably helped! They were damn good value before, so they really area steal now.

As for the poster asking how they compare to Pioneer CDJs- they are essentially a CDJ900 but with added hot-cues, jog tension adjust, pitch bend, separate start/stop time adjust, and a much smoother (spindle mounted) jog wheel- rather than the plastic bearing system used on Pioneer models. They are also around 50% heavier than the 900s, and in my experience (I've owned them almost 2 years, after owning CDJ900s previously) they are more robust.

The Pioneer CDJ2000/2000nexus and 900nexus are in another league due to their large full colour screens, but these are the next best things.

the only pioneer CDJs iv ever owned were the CDJ800MK1 but i have used cdj1000s and cdj900s very breifly so i cant really compare,

but they do have a familiar feel to the pioneers for a fraction of the price.

the displays are not really an issue for me as i use my thunderbolt display anyway.

only downfall so far is i cant seem to get the waveforms up in engine (if at all even possible) while mixing.

but not really an issue for me. : )
