Default Traktor S4 MK2 Glitch / Skip issue

    Hello,

I've recently started having a problem with my S4 MK2. In a nutshell, what happens is this:

Everything works fine for about the first hour or so, then I will notice that the track(s) playing will suddenly "jump" forward, 32 or 64 bars or so. At the same time, the highlight in the browse section will skip down about 2-3 tracks from where it was. This happens out of nowhere.

I've searched the forums, tried re-calibrating and a few other troubleshooting things and have had no luck. Has anyone experienced this before? Can anyone recommend any troubleshooting techniques or repair place that might be able to fix this issue?

    Thanks!

Sounds like an encoder issue. Your Enc is most likely sending out "ghost massages"...

I'd map some function like play or FX ON to that encoder and leave Traktor opened for a while. If that encoder really sends out a message while it's not twisted than the test function will become active once the midi is triggered from hardware.

Not sure how to do that.

Can you point me to some documentation?

Press Left Shift + Right Shift to enter MIDI Mode.
Click on "ADD IN" and select Play/Pause in the drop down menu. Then click on the interaction mode and set it to Direct, after that set the value 1 under the button options. Also ensure to assign to deck.
Enable LEARN button to enter the mapping mode.
Twist the encoder of the deck where issue appeared.
Disable LEARN and turn the encoder - assigned deck should be playing and the mapping is set for testing.
