Default For the BASS lovers; Tactile Bass Monitoring Platform (not the SubPac)

As I see it the "Subpac" is getting alot of love in the dj and production community...I have something that translates bass into your body even better.

I know there was a DJTT article written on tactile transducers sometime ago...but check it out, I have to share this incredible DIY creation.

I just bought a "Buttkicker LFE" and installed it on a piece of high density plywood, 3x5 ft. I mounted it on 2-inch rubber isolators. Standing on the platform when the unit is powered, let me tell you, it puts the Subpac to shame. (And I LOVE my Subpacs...I have both versions of the Subpac, m1, s2.) Don't get me wrong, they are great and all, they just don't compare to the power, extension and delivery of the Buttkicker. I literally feel all vibration move through my body...toes to core to head. No matter how high I turned the Subpac, there was always something quite missing. With the Buttkicker, you can modify the amount/frequency of bass through the crossover on their amp or use a separate crossover. I am using FMOD low pass crossovers to filter out anything above 70hz.

This is a GREAT solution for anyone needing to monitor bass in a (greater/absolute) tactile sense. When I'm at home mixing using the platform, I feel like I am in the middle of packed club at 1am. I've let a few people try it out, and they were blown away. Best part? This isolates bass so well, there are no frequencies leaving the platform. I am surprised that this really hasn't caught on with the dj community especially. Other than the invention of Digital Vinyl Systems (Serato, Traktor) I find that this is the greatest thing I've ever used.

I can post pictures if interested.
