Default Home good budget setup for vinyl and digital

It's been a long long time since I DJ'd. I was a house DJ in the 80s and 90s and I'd like to get started again. Mainly initially to experiment at home with a view to playing in a club environment.

I have two sl1200 decks and a large old vinyl dance collection. I also have a lot of material on digital on a macbook pro in iTunes.

I no longer have a mixer or amp but I have Rokit monitors and a Focusrite Scarlett interface.

I expect the majority of my source material in the future will be digital but at the moment I want to revisit my vinyl collection as well as digital media.

I did ask a retailer for advise and they suggested a Pioneer DJM 750 mixer and connect the decks to that and then connect to the interface which then goes on to the macbook to allow me to use both vinyl and digital.

However I want to see if there is other advice out there re the setup.

I have been researching Allen & Heath Xone mixers and also been looking at Traktor controllers.

I obviously need kit that will allow creativity for both vinyl and digital sources but also something that is cutting edge with al the latest creativity functionality and with a view to club standard house/techno dj'ing in the future with probably an emphasis at that stage to digital media rather than vinyl.

Anyone any pointers to get me looking down the right path please? I have a good budget so prepared to invest for high end kit.

    Thanks

    Mike

If your budget can reach, the Traktor Kontrol S8 is really good for flexibility. Works as a mixer with turntables, timecode, and four-deck Traktor.

The upcoming Pioneer djm450 mixer. Has the bigger djm club mixers layout, comes with built in soundcard and software, you just add timecode vinyls and your Mac.

You might check out the NI Kontrol Z2 mixer. You can run your phono inputs in "through" mode to play vinyl, then switch to Traktor mode and play mp3s off the computer. The mixer comes with the software license and control vinyl. When in Traktor mode, the mixer has cue point buttons, loops, and all the effects in the software.
