Saw that Blawan set on the live stream. It was phenomenal! He actually made me want to change my collection. Definitely in my top 5 Boiler Room Sets. Download the set here http://www.mediafire.com/?a9a6jorkdp9v7bd

Would you guys class this as Bass Music?

    Yes and No.

Yes it can be considered bass music but this is not the style we are talking about. That is Brostep with a UK Garage beat pattern.

That track about bodies was redonkulous. in fact, most of his unreleased stuff is! The Forward Strategy Group album is out today, if anyone was looking it from that Blawan set, digi release too! Perc has been spinning it for months now too

:O oh shit I thought every1 here only listened to electrohouse or w/e they call it and dubstep!!

if u like this type of music u should also try listening to the swedish label studio barnhus, allthough they're not uk funky/bass/future garage w/e they have a similar feeling: (the last one isn't from studio barnhus but axel is nowadays on studio barnhus)

Yeah that 92 track has the old school house feel to it. I think can easily fit into a mix with most of the music in this thread.

I listened to that blawan boiler room set and some parts of it were pretty good. Is this the elusive Bass Music as I've always thought of stuff like foamo, lee mortimer to be Bass Music. This to me sounds more techno than anything.

It is techno. But blawan gets put onto the same bill as a lot of other artists that can be considered bass music producers. Tricky isn't it?

yeah its weird because theres almost two genres being called bass music, one which is that very in your face almost electro-y techno sound, and then theres the smooth deep house sound that's around now, and quite a lot of the time there are tracks which will work for both etc, a real acid revival amongst both scenes also!

Its good for warm up or to be in your place smoking weed I dont think i can handle a complete deep house party
