LOL - I don't think he has time to do any dancing - 3 decks and a 909! BOOM!

I think the point, is that he is blowing us away, without even looking at us: thus the ultimate crowd interaction. God I want a tr909... but they are so costly.
Fair enough, doesn't do anything for me though

i started guiding people on using the midifighter. i have some universal daft punk samples that everyone likes so its ok if they get the timing a bit off. and everyone is like 'wtf was that arcade thing' i always dance. my setup has a bunch of lights (ableton and apc) so some people check that out lol. i bring small props to the bigger nights--i have this small star shaped light that syncs with the beat.
i'm planning on trying to get the whole guitar hero thing going, but i'm not sure how well thats gonna go.

i try to be as interactive as possible and i at least entertain the people that ask for specific songs instead of just blowing them off no matter how annoying it gets. i get paid to make drunk people dance, the least i can do is be fun =D

in addition to what everyone else has said... don't be afraid of jumping on the mic. as long as you're not on there every 5 minutes killing the vibe, generally crowds love it.
I wondered when someone was going to mention the mic as a sure way of crowd interaction.

Remember - the mic is your friend, not your enemy A good mic that is, not a crappy loud-hailer.
