Have any of you used the samson? Im not sure if would do what im looking for, the inputs are left and right channels and i dont see anywhere to change it to mono. Thus inputing a mic on this unit would only generate sound out of one channel?

to do it right you would need a small mixer (like that behringer one) + a DI box, i'm pretty sure denon makes a smaller mixer with balanced outs (only one iv'e seen). The other smaller mixer is the xone 22 with xlr out..

    here it is:
    Denon DJ DN-X120

+1 What's the purpose of a DI in this kind of setup?

Intoxicated /adj./ When you feel sophisticated without being able to pronounce it.

    http://www.thomann.de/de/phonic_am_120_mk_ii.htm

has 2 line ins (1 for main, 1 for mp3playerbackup e.g.) 1 mic in and balanced outs.

witch behringer mixer, if you're talking about the smaller ones, they don't. I have one my self, its -10 unbalanced 1/4".

For the guy who asked about the DI box, it coverts -10db unbalanced signal to a +4db balanced signal that PA use. If you don't use a DI box in this case, the audio will be noticeably weaker.

That makes sense. I know what a DI is, just never thought to use one like that.
