Tight Setup! I like the concept of the APC being your mixer

Actually the APC is just a stand in at the moment. Im thinking about getting the new Vestax PMC-Pro05IV and incorporating it with an arcade button build.

Right now the APC40's matrix is just being use to controll the Finger and BeatLookUP, the knobs control my AudioFXRacks. Leftover Buttons control cue's/loops on pinky.

I like the APC40, but I'm surprized how quickly I grew tired of it. The layout seems lopsided for DJing, and I think it's ugly. Hopefully I'll replace it with a real mixer or an all out DIY.

I hear a lot of people say that about the APC... I played around with the Vestax at Namm... It felt nice!

Hey Juan, where did you get that color theme for Ableton?, did you make it?. I've done some tinkering myself with themes but that ones pretty slick.

i felt the same way about my apc40.. ended up with a ddm4000

My setup is a reloop dj2 :P a ghetto midi keyboard and my macbook 13" (not shown on screen) and my sennheiser headphones it works nicely with the keyboard controlling loops effects and cues but i would love to get some more gear but im not sure what. Any suggestions?

Well I guess what you 'need' gear wise depends on what you dislike on your current set-up.. Is looping too difficult, or are the FX too complicated?

i dont love the effects and looping on the DJ2 im thinking of maybe getting an X1 and then getting some of the stanton scs.3 gear
