I don't have fat fingers or anything, so that's not a worry, just want to know whether they're more stable/solid/... in real life than from the pictures.
The build quality is fantastic. As all A&H products its great. To be honest this is the first A&H product I've owned and when I got it I was like wow. After the jog slip and tapping issue my faith was lost for a bit. The jog slip issue was resolved very quickly and the tapping I never really experienced. The fader feel pefect and work really well in traktor (what I use). The knobs are tight and work so well. I had a Vestax TR1 before and I find the knobs so much better. Personal pefereance maybe but they are tighter and feel so much better to handle. They are rubberised rather than metal. They do loosen off once you have played about with them for a while but not to the point they feel unresponsive. its just a great unit all in.

    Hope this helps.

Incredibly helpful Hesitant. Thanks a lot!
Laaaaaaaast question! I've been looking around at mappings and haven't seen anything related to pitch control. Has anyone done any mappings for rotary pitch control? (I'm new to mapping so would not want to start a blank slate just yet).
    Cheers!

    Glad it's helped you.

Yes there are quite a few mappings out using the rotary pitch control. The one I use works the same in traktor as it does in itch. Turn the knob for small incraments but if you press down on the rotary and turn it will move the pitch in large incraments. Perfect and also very accurate compared to a fader style pitch control. For me personally I've Found Tim's (mix architekt) mapping the best. I've modified it slightly to suit my style.

I hope my responses have made sense and helped you with your decision.

Does anybody have any word from A&H if and when the new batchnumbers will be coming on the market an if in fact these new batches will have the tapping issues fixed?

I'm dying to get ne of these, but I'd rather be shure on this..

Honestly, I have the "tapping" issue (the reason tapping is in quotes is because it's not really a tap, but a strike) and I don't really see it as being an issue at all. It's not something I would normally do, and if I were to "tap" it certainly wouldn't be on the area that's causing it. If A&H release a fix/issue a re-call I'll get my unit fixed but for now I don't see it being an issue for me personally.

To each their own, but understand that with pretty much all new product launches there will always be issues and they will always be blown out of proportion by the first group of people that buys whatever the latest and greatest toy is. I understand that a select few unfortunate people have the issue a lot worse than me (where vibration will actually trigger it) but the majority of users either don't know of the "issue", are over-exaggerating the amount it effects them, or don't have it at all.

Anyone know whether the units being sold now (US for me) are affected? I want to get myself one ASAP but hope I can get one from the newer batch.

Blown outta proportion perhaps for the DJ who deosnt do anything except mix two tracks together all night long....

Now if you interested in some DJ trickery....

Picture Beat Juggling....which ummm yes requires a bit more "TAPPING" of the unit.

Then picture your tracks radomly stopping for no good or intended reason..

Now you have the general idea?

The question regarding the American relese having the same issue would be a good question for A&H. I personally would be interested on how they are going to address it.

If your "method" of beat juggling requires striking the unit specifically between the play/pause and cue buttons then I guess you would have an issue.

Any time I've ever needed to count a beat I would just tap my foot on the ground. So far I haven't had any issues doing that, but hey, maybe you're right and I'm in the minority. I just didn't envision the majority of people owning this unit wanting to hit it between the play/pause and cue buttons to count beats.
