God damn you. Well.. shit. Ok can you elaborate on what the cueing is like? And how much getting used to? I suppose at the end of the day it's only going to train your ears better to do it that way, but still, I like my safety blanket in a knob..

What about the fx? And gains - good isolation of freqs or not so much? Obviously overall quality is the strongest point of the mixer but the mixer I've got at the moment has so many more features so it's hard to decide..

    Thanks for the info mate

completej - headphone cuing put simply is listening to the track before you play it to make sure it's in beat and will work etc..

@completej apparently the headphone cueing in the 400 is different in that each deck will only cue in your headphones on either the right or left side.

Just found out from a mate that if you have both ch1 and 2 selected then you hear a blend. Obviously cant change how much of each you get as there's no knob, but at least you can get the blend

Any more updates on it Be-Ne-Dek? How much did you pay out of curiosity?
    cheers

    My way
U just buy a little Headphone mixer...and connect to aux send or monitor send channel
then U can here every thing and no need to push cue button anymore

According to the user manual here, if you CUE either channel alone, or the master alone, you will hear stereo in your cans. If you CUE either channel plus the master, then you will get the channel in one ear and the master in the other ear, both mono. If you CUE both channels plus the master, then you will hear a mix of all three in both ears (stereo).
However, as zacl87 stated, you cannot increase or decrease the amount of each channel or master through the cans. You can only adjust the TOTAL volume.

I'm in love. Thats pretty much it... haha

Anyways, the eq on each channel is like nothing i've ever used before, its such high quality, beautiful isolation, the effects are fun as hell and you can switch them with the effect button engaged

as for the cueing, you do in fact hear a blend if you have both channels engaged, but if you engage on channel and master, then it splits master to right and channel to left, which i kinda like actually

IMHO, go for it, do you really NEED the 800? and i dont think its worth the extra cash for just the cueing thing, just get the 400...

as for how much i payed... because the DJM 350 is now out, they knocked off 10% and it came out to $540, but the DJM 350 is $599 new

I got the 400 off a suggestion, and so far it has been fantastic. I've never used the headphones to cue view with the master engaged, just with the single channel on per side I'm mixing in...but I'm kinda newb.
