I'll probably regret replying to this thread seeing that you guys haven't really discussed anything useful so far, but I'll take my chances.
Do you know what material the controller is made of? Is it plastic "metal" or real metal?
^ Looking at the pics and having an X1, they look of similar mold. I'm gonna say its plastic "metal" probably why its so light -- but honestly my X1 is pretty damn solid and has never felt cheap or weak, even sitting next to a Xone 42.

Hey Karlos this is sort of off topic from the forum, but where does Traktor store all the file information (loops, grids, cues). I'm trying to get all my files properly prepared for this software and I work between 2 laptops. So I'm wondering if it's as simple as transferring my Traktor collection between my 2 laptops or is everything stored in the mp3 files or both?
In Supported File Types Traktor Stores the info in proprietary Tags in the actual file so, yeah its possible to prepare your music on one laptop and just transfer the files to have the same Grids and Cues on another.
I keep identical iTunes libraries on various machines and copy tracks over so that i can import them to Traktor on another machine. After i have imported them to the next machine Traktor reads the tags and i have all the prepared Grid etc.
If you copy over the Collection.nml you will also copy the Playlists/Favourites and Collection structure.
If the paths to the tracks are different you just need to 'relocate' the tracks.
I use iTunes because its easy to share Playlists from one laptop to another and then import them to Traktor.
Hope that helps.
Okay so it's irrelevant which laptop i'm preparing my tracks on since Traktor will read that information. Another thing that confuses me is Traktor always seems to be analyzing my files again and again and sometimes my grids are off. Would you say it's smarter to just work with analyzing tracks on one machine then transferring them around?
