white noise external mixer (Audio 8)
Hi,
i'm new
I have a serious problem with my Audio 8 DJ soundcard.
I have a constant white noise signal on my external mixer. I've tried every solution on this website. No result.
New PC:
Microsoft Windows 7 Professional
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz, 2668 MHz
(RAM) 8,00 GB
HP-Pavilion
The only thing I can do to solve the problem is audio Exit 8. And turning back to vinyl.
I've tried everything:
new cables, different USB port, disable unnecessary things in the bios, the latest bios, safe mode, ...
Can you help me find a solution?

Just to clarify, your mixing inside Traktor externally correct? Is Traktor set to external in the preferences? Do all of the controls work and you just get the noise? What mixer? I'm not sure what the problem is, but maybe with a little more info someone else can help.

My mixer is a Pioneer Djm 800.
Yes, I mix in Traktor externally and Traktor is set to external in the preferences.
If I Play a track by Traktor, I have a white noise in my MP3, in a quiet piece you can hear it.
Even when I just open Traktor, you also can hear it.
I don’t have any whiten noise when I mix with vinyl, so the noise comes of my Audio 8, I think.
I recorded a piece for you, so you can hear it.

Have you switched the input mode on the Audio 8? You should be able to open that in the Native instruments folder that was installed with the sound card to make sure the software matches your sound card. Might not be a bad idea to open the service center while your in their and check to make sure you've got the latest Audio 8 drivers installed. Even if it's a new sound card the driver on the enclosed cd may have been an older version.

Try unplugging your laptop, powered speakers etc... one at a time and see if it goes away.

I have connect all cables one by one in the mixer and there was no noise but when the Audio 8 is connect the noise was back.
So it definitily comes of the Audio 8, but how do I get the noise away?
I will search for a solution for this probleem.

Did you unplug the power cords while the audio 8 was plugged in and making the noise? That may point out a grounding problem which is mentioned in the Audio 8 users manual.

try to unplug the power cord from ypur laptop, if the white noise stop you have a ground loop, a common problem for all the laptop dj's.
there is a easy solution for thet: you need to buy a ground loop isolator, you can find it in a car stereo shop. it's have a shape of a can withe rca female on one side and male in the other side.
after you got it you need to connect it between the rca out from audio 8 to your mixer, one for each outpot..
hope it helps you.

I will buy this week a Ground Loop Isolater. It can be that this is the problem.
But I think It’s strange that I just have the noise when I connect my Audio 8.
When I just connect my cd player and vinyl without the Audio 8, I don’t have the noise.
I let you know what the result is.
Thanks for the information.
Tips are always welcome
