Sweet deal, bud. Do it. The STR-100s are a turntablist's deck, and they won't really let you down for mixing. Especially good deal if you're getting headshells and carts with them.

If you want to be super cool like the other super cool older DJs, save up for Technics later on, but you really probably won't need to.

With what you're saving, get some road cases. Or a stack of records! Or a controller like the X1 to use with your DVS!

I'd go with a pair of 12's (especially now that Panasonic is reportedly pulling the plug this year, you can expect the resale value to skyrocket), or the Numark TTX1's . I had my doubts about the TTX's, but after picking one up from CL, I am very impressed with the build quality and motor torque.
