Not so sure about that. I was cruising down the highway last week and I saw Tiesto's face on an electronic billboard outside of Boulder, CO! I had a good laugh anyway.

that guy is far from knowing what underground sounds like since he said tiesto is underground lol. unless hes refering to underground trance which i dont know about cause i'm into underground house / tech house / techno and minimal.

no-what i meant was that Tiesto (and most edm) is still basically underground in comparison to the whole spectrum of popular music (that's why i said "...in comparison to Justin Bieber")...

in any event, i can't argue with anyone who likes/dislikes anyone's music, or thinks anyone's music sucks, thats just personal preference but i just never understood "hating on" or actual hate because someone became successful. But this is nothing new-the same fan reaction has happened with almost every form of popular music-be it hip hop, metal, grunge, alternative, other dance music, punk, etc. to a large extent, i think its the same thing here-only difference, in todays day and age, everything moves alot quicker...

yea, you're definitely right about that-electronic music is moving quickly into the mainstream here (deadmau5 djing mtv's vma's, etc.) it ill be interesting to see how far it gets.

Wouldnt the best thing to do instead of complaining about it... why not make our own poll on djtt..... A vote For dj's from dj's about tallent not popularity...... Someone should get onto ean about this

44 - Would you really say they were here BECUASE of DJing? I would say it's more down to their productions?
