Never seen that before. Considering he uses Ableton, I doubt it's true. As far as I know he uses:

    Xone:92
    Lemur
    some hardware effects unit
    Monome

Ahh correct, the 4D not the 92, and add in the Maschine. I don't recall him using the Maschine when I saw him though? Eh oh well.

EDIT: Here's the setup he was using the two times I saw him

I've been an AVID D-mau5 fan for a solid couple years/
Has anyone noticed that the majority of his music is just remixes of songs he's already done?
    Strobe vs. Chtulu Sleeps
Ghosts n stuff (done twice) (w.e that one rockd)
Moar Ghosts n Stuff vs. Animal rights
Hey Baby vs. Tough inside out

The list goes on... Am i wrong?

I honestly think his music is cookie cutter and quite generic... When he first started out he was making some good music, i personally have hated all his music, but i can admit when something is good even if i don't like it. Early in his career his music was very different, but like everything else people copied his sound and recreated it and have taken it to different levels. His music now just seems like a bunch of loud electro bullshit.

I'm not gonna hate on the guy, I wish i had his money for making music, but that is not gonna change my stance on thinking his music really sucks anymore. This new album of his is no different. Its music for the sheep. Most won't even know why they like it, but they will like it anyway. Basically when its shoved in your face there really isn't anything else to do but take it in, those of us who choose to use our good taste and brains will find other stuff to listen to...

Sorry if i have offended anyone, but i am really getting annoyed by all this electro house music, it makes my stomach turn... Seems to be a big problem in the US, and apparently the Netherlands as well with their "dutch house"...

+1. By the way, Dutch-House is actually not that big in the Netherlands. It was a hype for maybe somewhere around 2-3 years, but nowadays I don't hear it that often anymore. Last week I had some gigs in the states though, and I was unpleasantly surprised by the amount of dutch-house and electro being played there.

gonna question the "shoved in your face" statement just a bit. even with xm radio, hell even using pandora on my "deadmau5" channel, i heard his music so infrequently that it didnt get old. arguably, i heard about it when i heard ghosts n stuff quite a bit after, but his tunes are catchy.

i just dont think its been forced. furthermore, our music scene is so backwards (behind the times) here, you hardly hear people playing his shit as it is. just the normal club banger bullshit.

though i dont dislike most music. i'll listen to most anything aside from country, which is tough in my city/state.

@op - its pretty much a guarantee though that youll hear more music similar to this, start diggin around, and youll probably forget about liking his music. i cant tell you the last time i even thought about trying to fit a song of his into a set, and ive only been playing out for around 3 months now. i even like his stuff :P

Yea, one of my good friends is a producer from the netherlands and he doesn't play dutch house or produce it... Sorry, didn't mean to wrap all of you up into one box. Seems like the people here in the US just can't seem to grasp the concept of good EDM.
