i wonder....could someone use that as a sample....
Assange deserves to rot in jail. He's a parasite who releases STOLEN documents, without regard for the consequences. I support investigative journalism, but doc dropping is not journalism. Research, interview, that kind of thing is journalism. He has a vendetta against the US, and the military.
Who's funding wikileaks? Can we get someone to leak that information? Little bit of a double standard there, no? What would happen if someone leaked wikileaks's sources? People would loose their jobs, and one private first class would be in jail for a long time. My point is privacy is necessary and even good sometimes. Just because something is a secret doesn't mean it's bad.
My take on the "war crimes." The US military is the best in the world at killing people and breaking stuff. Should have sent the NYPD if you wanted cops to arrest criminals. When you want stuff destroyed and people killed, let the military go to work.
Sorry if this seems wikileaks biased, but here we go..
This method is not new to wikileaks, and quite often is the only way for media sources to verify the truth of what they are reporting. I wouldn't be surprised if Assange has put more thought into the consequences than the people who penned the documents that were leaked
From what little I know, wikileaks assess all of their news stories. They've completed external verifications, eye witness interviews, forensic analysis of documents, obtaining further documents relating to claims etc. etc. i.e. They do not just release bullshit, but they DO release factual documents to support their news stories so that you, the discerning news reader, have access to more reliable information.. or so the theory goes.
I'll assume you are implying some sort of conspiracy here, which has been done to death, especially at the inception of wikileaks with claims of it being run by intelligence agencies etc. I've not seen them disclose their funding sources, but judging from how much in donations has been withheld from them recently, it seems a fair amount comes from the intarwebs.
Wikileaks does not disclose its sources. It would not exist if it did. Its very essence is to protect those people who wish to provide them with information. Moot point.
eep
Sorry, i'm not trying to rain on your parade or your views & opinions, but I felt compelled to respond to you. I seem to be coming across very pro-wikileaks, which I'm not necessarily. I do however support their views on journalism.
Regardless of our diverse and personal opinions one thing I always can count on is that music unites us all in some form or other.
Peace
