And it makes me roll my eyes to see people glorifying someone who's a complete fucking jack ass. I'd feel the same way about Kanye West if I didn't think that whole thing was staged. I do feel the same way about 50 cent for lip syncing at the VMAs or wherever that was.
I have seen the man in person, not on stage. And I don't respect him enough even to pirate his songs. Do what you will, but apparently that's not all that uncommon.
The reason people like Nero and Eric Prydz don't get this kind of flack is that they at least still seem like decent people after a few minutes. deadmau5 didn't.
I'm with you on this one. At least to some extent.
I saw a post a while back (too lazy to look for it now) ranting on how he treats his staff and crew like shit. But you've got to realize he's pretty spiteful of what he's done. He never really gave a crap about the whole scene, and when he jokingly made songs, to prove that anyone can do it, he made money off of it. Therefore, he has proved his point. Which is something that I find kind of funny. With his release of 4x4=12, most people are like "There's only one or two good tracks on there", they have to realize, he doesn't care if they're good or not, they're just evidence to support his argument.
why do we have to keep having this weak ass discussion?
Weapons, not food, not homes, not shoes
Not need, just feed the war cannibal animal
because people keep buying his crap.
can we just shorthand the rest of his career and send him to rehab now?
These types of threads are always very interesting to me. I tried to write up my own post trying to bring the various sides together. Would be very interested to hear anyone's feedback:
