Ok, so in this first track it gets into it straight away, so dropping the marker right at the start makes sense anyway. This particular track i used in a mix so have set the load marker and a preset loop further into it. The BEATS indicator shows -1.1.1 as the cue is just behind the first cuepoint. If it was just after it would show 1.1.1.

This second track is a better example, as i've not put the grid marker till further along. even tho the first section does actually have beats, its a slow filtered build up if you know what i mean and gets into it at about the minute mark.

And in this third one, well its a straight tech house track so starting from the first beat is fairly obvious. In this case i drop the load marker on the first beat as well, as i'm usually drunk playing house and its one less thing to remember!

You can see that about the 5th beat the grid is slightly off. This is actually right on the peak but a few clicks back and this would be bang on. Sometimes with house tunes when they start right on a beat, this beat is slightly cut off which can be a pain in the ass for your grids, so i would do something similar to my second example in this case.

I have a track called 'Deep East (original mix)' by Arkoss and beat gridding it has become a nightmare. It's as tight as a nun's chuff at the beginning but by the end of the song it is so way off it's unbelievable. I might as well have ripped it from warped vinyl. It's driving me insane.
