No, no! I mean that looks good, but what I need is a stand to elevate the laptop itself. I want more room on my desk. I'm looking at the Odyssey ones but I have to take a little bit of time to figure out if my S4 will fit underneath it comfortably.

Looks good? When my laptop's on it how would you be able to tell?

Moreover, doesn't it make sense that if anyone else in your audience has enough time to notice what kind of laptop stand you're using during your set, you probably have bigger problems to worry about (like why they've lost interest in the music)?

I have two of these, they get the job done. Nice and sturdy. You can mount them too if you like instead of using the legs. I even used to keep my MicroKorg on one and it fit great. Now I just leave my laptop on one and Maschine on another.

I think the point he was trying to make is that he wants a laptop stand that is elevated over the desk so the he can put things under it, and, from what I can tell from the picture, the stand you recommended sits directly on the desk.

Alright, I'm gonna go along with this hypothesis: first of all, he didn't clarify to that degree...his search required a stand solution that was cheap...based on those premises, I offered that solution, and it wasn't what he was looking for...end of discussion. No need to speak further for the guy...

Second of all, my response was intended to be sarcastic; since he wanted to poke fun at what I got, I wanted to poke fun at his argument. I didn't waste away years of my life working shitty jobs to afford the gear I have just to have someone criticize it for how it looks, even if it was intended to be funny. So, rather than criticize him for having said it, I simply disproved him by saying it was functional and therefore essential to what I really care about, which is sounding good, savvy?
