    I learned to beatmatch on CDs without any BPM indications or stuff like that. I think it really helps in the long run and it definitely makes you more flexible.

    I only use the sync for tempo adjustments as well, I get a better feel for the music if I match the beats manually. Also, it sometimes sounds better when Traktor actually says it's a little off. Don't trust the machine, trust your ears.

    If Traktor isn't matching the beats up right with sync it means your grids are off. Unless you mean you want it to sound a little off center, which can be a useful effect. You can trust sync to do what it's supposed to do, but Traktor doesn't always get the autogrid right so you do need to use your ears.
