+1... I know the entire country is messed up in many ways but here in Cali we have political nonsense down to a science.

I totally agree. Its a fine balance between safety and fun. My point is the organizers need to step up and prove just how safe their parties actually are. Its not good enough to just say "oh that never happens" or "well yeah once or twice maybe". Get the politicians involved shit bring them to a party and let them see for themselves there's nothing to worry about. I used to get so frustrated with the average Joe opinion of raves back in the day but meanwhile I could walk down the club district in T.O. go to any club and you can bet your ass a fight would break out every single time. This shit never happened at parties.

Signing petitions is a great way to bring attention to the cause but it does nothing to prove your point. They just know some people are pissed off and in a state like California with a population of 39 million  a 100K teenage signatures just isn't enough IMO.

The only thing thats in your favor is that the law seems very vague. Maybe this was on purpose so they could allow themselves more time to write a proper law or just open up the conversation with the public im not sure.

I dont party down that way and I never have. I've been in CA once and it was for a trade convention that's it, so I dont know what your scene its like but I hope organizers can take the lessons learned from older scenes like Detroit, Chicago and even T.O. and be as transparent as possible. The "underground" sounds great but in reality but it can be dangerous when 4000 kids party in some vacant warehouse with no one looking out for them. Been there, done that .... many times.

    Growing pains always hurt
