Default Remapping Xfader assignment leds to show deck phase

So i've been working for an hour or so in a secondary HID mapping to add some life to the S4's lights. It's not critical but it will help to keep the eyes off the screen a little.

    A) The selected deck in the deck (not mixer) displays flashes according to the beat. ie: only deck a or c will flash at a time, so you won't have any problems recognizing which deck is selected by looking at these displays (although you still have the static selected deck status in the central area). Selected deck stays lit when no playback is registered or when the selected deck is in sampler mode. I would need to map the master clock to these but it becomes useless if these decks are phased from the it or between each sampler. You can easily map this to any other button and it will only flash when X deck is selected (or you can have them mapped in the central area and disable my modifiers to have them all blinking at once when playing), but you will still have the same limitation with samplers.

The flashing is on/off, so no gradual inc/dec of the led intensity till the beat comes, making it quite clear.

    B) Here comes the hard part: using x fader assignment leds to show deck phase.
1º you would need to disable x fader assignments unless you want the master deck (if set on auto) to show how it's been set (need to find a way to override this behavior, doesn't work by mapping inverted outs). The rest of the decks will show phase normally in the same way the X1 does natively (increasing led intensity as phase gets bigger). I keep my X fader off so it doesn't bother me and you can still check the xfader assignment by pressing shift.

The big problem is how Traktor's Phase Meters work, when the BPM is exactly the same as the Master it will stop showing it's value in a continued way and will blink (with the correct intensity) roughly every 2 seconds because it's no longer fed by a continuous stream of data, caused by the phase not moving any more (or because the xfader assing jums in, dunno). As soon as you move the phased deck's jog the lights come back and display normally (but return to previous behavior when the jog stops). This happens ONLY if the difference between BPMs is 0.000 (aka spot on), so it shouldn't cause a lot of trouble if you are beatmatching manually but it is a pain if you sync tracks because you see a blinking led showing phase rather than a constant indication until you move the jog. Maybe if I could map something to constantly activate send monitor state it would fix it (but it would be kind of a waste of cpu)

The way i've mapped these is:

    Deck X <
Left: -0.5/0 (Blend and Invert ticked)
    Deck X >
    Right: 0/+0.5 (Blend ticked)

Since sample decks don't have a phase meter they are excluded from this (but they are still mapped if you swap them for regular decks).

Hope I didn't get you dizzy with this post and we can all benefit form it (after I upload it to Traktorfreaks )

PS: no, i'm not willing to go back to midiland

sooooo yeah, i can't overrite the led feedback of the native mapping (doesn't happen in user mode).

It's still usable when manual mixing, but starts showing xfader assign if you use sync.

    damn you native instruments!!!!! :P
