Sorry to revive this topic from the grave, but is this thing actually useful, or just a gimmicky toy?

I wonder the same thing, i don't see how it can offer sufficient control over 2 channels simultaneously.

I got one for Christmas a couple of years ago and used it in a couple of sets in my weekly gig to great results. It really is a nifty bit of kit with separate line-out and monitor outputs which also can be connected up to your normal mixer so it acts like two individual decks on different channels. The built in effects are excellent (Roll, Flanger and Delay being favourites) and for the SYNC button style DJ's , the V2 firmware gives pretty good beatmatching.

The downsides are the Pacemaker Editor (the program on your computer for transferring and editing tracks), and Toniums product support and user community which is just shocking.

That aside, I use mine for knocking out mixes on flights, long coach trips, in bed and often take it along to parties where I can just plug it in and have a quick mix!
