does anyone know the spec on USB 3.0? does it send more current/power than USB2? Maybe that's the issue, overpower on a USB 3 port.

Yes - up to 150mA, down to 4V. Already been warned against using USB3.0 with S4.

Is it a USB2.5 port? I mean, you'd have to round that up to USB3. Otherwise I might suspect the midi map you said you "just added"
