What i dont like is service center fucking up (self update failing) because it cant connect for some godforsaken reason. i gotz interweb connection. i just want my NEW SOFTWARE DAMNIT!

yay i wasn't the only one! at first i thought it was some sort of flash bug or something. it would update then try to restart and nothing, stuck in a loop. restarted pc (a few times) and everything installed just fine

The headphone volume and monitoring functions got integrated into the crossfader bar? That's just daft! I play psytrance and hardly ever use the crossfader, so I always hide it, it scores a lot of space on my screen. Now I'm forced to sacrifice screen space because NI glued the monitoring controls to the crossfader. Don't get it, there's plenty of dead space in the global section for that.

I can kind of understand why they did it, because if you do have the x-fader displayed the whole rest of the bar is wasted space, but yeh it would be nice if they found some more intelligent way of using extra space. For someone with a massively wide screen there's loads of space between the FX and the loop recorder/master volume which could be put to good use with a few extra options in preferences.

Someone mentioned something about the reverb freeze earlier. Is it a bug or intentionally the way it's now?

In TP1 I have the three parameter knobs set to 7 o'clock/5 o'clock/5 o'clock and the Freeze button engaged. Whenever I then activate the Reverb it would chop the tune nicely with a reverb fade-out. I use this function A LOT and is crucial to my way of mixing. Now in TP2, if I do the exact same thing it simply chops the tune with dead silence, I might as while press stop! I'm sure this must be an error?

I dunno man, I checked it on two machines to double-check it's not me, still the same. I mean, sure the freeze works if you engage it only after reverb is activated, but that's not how I need it. I need freeze engaged first, then activate reverb, then all you should have left is the reverb 'echo' not silence. It works fine in TP1.

I also think the headphone/mix knobs are in the wrong place, even though I'm subsequently happy they are no longer in view (as they are mapped to knobs on my VCI).

I do, however, like the fact there is a headphone switch in the beat gridding section now, so I don't have to change view from essential when beatgridding a tune. (I think it's essential, you know what I mean, anyway)

God damnit! When will they learn that adding BASIC management of a database like that would make everyone's life, like, INFINITELY easier. Shit man, I hate that god damn controller manager.
