Ok, so here's the deal, I'm actually backing up all my files as I type this because I took the plunge and got an SSD. Now, in order to install scratch duo on my new SSD, do I need to deactivate it in service center?

All I have to do is play music, and make sure it is fist pumpin material.
No, just install it on the new hard drive and register it. If you're putting the old drive in a different computer or keeping it on that one to have dual drives you can uninstall it and run service center.
