Can you play angry birds on a 1200? Duh...
JK love the idea, (would use analog mixer tough) i will admit that it came into my mind as well, but buying 2 ipads just feels too much like a waste! What i am i gonna do with the second ipad when im not playing???? Give to my girlfriend?....Yeah right........
Plus the outputs are not good enough for clubs, so you would need external DAs http://www.highresolutiontechnologies.com/istreamer/(120 bucks each) and the softwares are still not super stable, tonetable is good for timecode control and traxpad http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/traxpad/id375259644?mt=8 is also coming up with a cool computer free concept.....i guess time will tell......
Hey guys, I was wondering if it would be a good idea to change my mpd 24 for a launchpad/apc 20?
The mpd is good but as my mapping, i have bank A for hotcues, bank B for sample decks, and some of bank C for effects. But as its only a small letter on the screen that indicates what bank i am in i can sometimes mess it up. Good example is when i was playing yesterday and was going to pull of a bitt of fx, but jumped to cue point 1 in the song that was playing. if i had launchpad i could just map 1/4 for hotcues and 1/4 for sample decks ect and have different leds for each thing.

The APC has plenty of faders even the 20. If you can splurge get a APC 40 or do what I did and get it thru zzsounds.com on a 4 month payment play works out to be like 77$ a month.
Traktor Scratch Pro 2, 2X Stanton STR8-80, 2X Denon DN-S700, Akai APC40 + APC20, DDM4000, KRKRokit 8, HD25-II, iPad (Touch OSC)
Why would you want to pay extra and waste money on a payment plan?
I really don't see the point in switching from the mpd24. it's a fine piece of kit that I wish was still in production. The benefits of selling it and buying a apc or launchpad isn't worth the money and effort.
