And I find torrents just as easy to use on a Mac. Don't feel bad for the film industry, they'd do it you in a heartbeat.

LOL if I wasn't a decent bloke, I'd do just that but its amicable and I'm free, talented and mobile. Going to Brisbane to try and exploit the club scene out there... unless djtt make me an offer... LOL you can dream

save a lot of Cash and get a PC. Once you get it partition the hard drive and put a clean install on the partition that only has traktor and the OS on it, then use the other partition for personal non-DJ use. Since doing this I have had 0 issues with Traktor crashes or anything like that.

    Default Firewire Laptops

Ive been trawling the web trying to find something that will stand up to the macbook that still has firewire.

    Nothing that comes close,

Ive tried Sony Vaio's no joy, Toshiba dont seem to do it either...

    Can anyone help?

Dell XPS 15. It doesn't have firewire because firewire's almost obsolete. It's all USB 3 or Thunderbolt going forward.

I am having a dilemna of whether to move from windows based machine to MacBook Pro. I really want a MBP but the £££ is an issue.

Ideally I want the new 13inch MBP i7 dual core 2.7GHz. Anyone know of any good Mac refurb places in the Uk or online?

Personally I think the 13" might be a little bit too cramped for me, at times the 15" was.

I think tbh Im going to treat myself to a quad core mbp, they still have firewire, so not quite obsolete just yet mate.

just looked at XPS15 and it 500 GBP cheaper than a MBP 13inch 2.7Ghz i7 for a similar hardware setup.

as I have never had a macbook before, are they really worth the extra ££?

That's why I said nearly obsolete. 15" is fine, you just need to get one with a 1920x1080 screen. I don't think Apple offers that option on anything except their most expensive boxes.

They are really good, very stable, but for bit torrents I havent worked out how to get them working, which is a big minus, anyone got any suggestions of torrent programs that work?
