I've looked into this - I really like the idea of OSX running on my Sony VAIO.

The truth is - it's probably NOT worth the effort/hassle. You'd be better spending your time creating a new partition on your hard drive, and installing a stripped down version of your existing OS.

I've done this with XP AND WIn7, and the results you get are pretty staggering. Uninstall all of the bloatware that installs with the fresh install, disable unnecessary services, and you'll have a pretty damn stable OS on your audio app partition.

There are loads of guides on line for doing this, and it's easy to do.

Therefore this by itself might be considered illegal, depending on local legislation. And as you actually have to mod the os to make it work on a non-apple machine, you are clearly modifying it - again, at least against the EULA, in some countries it might also be considered as an illegal circumvention of technical means to ensure that the software is only used in the intended way.
It's the old game. You're not buying the OS, you pay for a license to use it under certain conditions you agree to. If you disegard those conditions, it's unlicensed use.

Again, don't wanna comment on the ethics, because I personally think it's bullsh** the way it is, but from a legal point of view, it's illegal in some places probably most, actually), at least "grey area" in others. So my recommendation is to remove the link, because this is a site that generally does not condone such things in my experience, and we should respect that, just for the sake of not taking the chance to cause trouble for the people who provide the DJTT site and forum.
    good post, i agree
