just unwrapping my s4 now.
Sick.
I have a quick question though:
I already have tsp2 so I am assuming it would just be easier to sell the s4 license untouched for tnhe tsp2 upgrade?

that's a tough one.
you're not legally permitted to sell the S4's bundled TP2 license.
You could probably sell your current TSP2 license and get along with the TP2 from the S4, but you loose SCRATCH if you do it like this ...
no good answer for your case...

If you've upgraded to T2 or TS2 from S4 you can't sell either without selling the S4 license. You also can't sell your S4 license because that would make your T2 license invalid. If you were to sell your S4 then you would either have to sell it as a dumb midi controller or sell the software with it. I'm not sure of NI's stand on selling the S4 without software.

PJJ - you think its best to install the S4 software then and get the upgrade? is that a better option than just plugging it in and using it with my existing TP2.

kooper, I dont think the s4 will work unless you install the drivers on the cd for it. I ended up installing s4 before my already existing copy of tsp2 would recognize the controller.

I'm currently looking at this as well. I've decided to get an S4 soon but I already have TP2, so will I keep using TP2 or will I use the S4?

@spacehxc- if your planning on trying to get some money for the license you already have then it seems your only real option is to remove your name from your current license and install the s4 with upgrade if you wanna sell.
s4 software has to stay with the s4 and thus the upgrade.
