i too am a slider to be... question on the 15.4 macbook pro only 2 usb ports....right now on my pc laptop i am using three.... sound card.....vci ..and external harddrive. are hubs compatible ? or do haveta pony up more cash for the 17 inch mac book pro? little help here please...brand new to the mac world.....

lullabybeatz, Yes you can use a USB Hub. Depending on what type of external HD you are using, you can always go Firewire. If there is an option for firewire, I always take it over USB when using a Mac.
