No but it still has a bias. There's nothing wrong with that, it just does.

The xwax Thread! - The minimal open source DVS for Linux!
Reddit's /r/DJs! - Another great DJ community!
Not sure its "hurts"... its just how things have developed.
But surely thats cus its NI that makes the software and hardware that "Most" (not all, i know) most people use.
I underdstand your point 100% but i think its a bit more nuanced than just simple favouritism for commercial reasons.
EDIT: just read your last post, yeah cool.
Isn't that like thinking DJTT should give me 'preference' because I bought my S4/X1/bag etc from them. That's my prerogative. That's voting with my $. I still feel like I would like to contribute more 'directly'. I'm not pissy about anyone having bought elsewhere. Its not a patronising gesture - its a vote of confidence.

*Samsung rv 511, 8gb ram, core i5 processor* *Samsung netbook 2gb ram* *Traktor pro 2* *Traktor s4* *midi fighter spectra* *audio technica ath-m50x* *m audio trigger finger pro* *ableton* *fl studio* and a load of other random bits and pieces.... plus I like bacon yo.
But DJTTs bias has changed show shit works. it just so happens that NI was the one willing to change (and novation)

Regarding the OP, I'm game. You vote with your currency and $5 is not much considering all the information / inspiration DJTT has provided me over the last year or so.
This site is a great resource, even the community generated content (via the forums) has helped me a ton.
A year ago i didnt even know of all this laptop/midi/Dj/controlerism etc was. But my life changed when a friend gave me his copy of traktor pro which i picked up an omni to partner it and my addiction grew. Wanting to learn more i stumbled apon Dj tech tools & have been observing from a distance since.
I recently spent my honeymoon in California, and one of my highlight was going to the Dj techtools store in OC (the other highlights are to kinky for the younger subscribers) where i bought my S4 on the spot.Without this site i would never have have even known what an s4 was. So you all at dj tech tools have directly influenced me as a consumer. So therefore advertising is a strong option.
I would gladly pay a $5 yearly subscription as well
But in the same sense i can see why it may not be the way to go, as naturally you would lose your strength in numbers which got you here in the 1st place.
With the wisdom and support from so many on here im sure the answers will arrise.
Thanks to everyone on this site for your input.
