Default Audio 2 or Audio 6?

Whats up everyone, Ive been having a little trouble getting all my gear to be set up nice and flush. I have two cdj850s, djm350, and macbook pro. Im using traktor pro 2 software. Now that a .tsi is getting released for the 850s i would like to get my cdjs hooked up and working with tp2.

Im leaning towards purchasing the audio 2 this weekend to solve all of my problems but I was wondering if you think I should just go ahead an purchase an audio 6. I cant really find out if there are anything I would need the extra ports for.

I am also planning on purchasing the akai mpd mini controller too so thats something to think about.....any feedback is appreciated, thanks a lot!

Do you want the extra IO that the Audio 6 provides? I don't think you can use it without upgrading your other gear, but it'll give you an input pair for recoding that works inside Traktor.

You can still record without it, as you can just run into your computer's line-in and record off that (it'll be about the same quality as recordings off the audio 6 in ways that matter (who cares if your converters have 144 or 96ish dB of dynamic range when your source has more like 8?), but you won't be able to use Traktor's recording…you'd need a separate program.

That's the only difference I see if you're not planning on using timecode or updating your hardware any time soon.

Oh, and there are some bitchy technical things that kind of imply the audio 6 will sound a bit better than an audio 2…I–for one–think they're largely irrelevant. But, I haven't taken apart either one to see how many corners they cut.

I heard somewhere that there was abit of problem with the audio 6, just out of curiosity can't u use the CDJs as soundcards and use asio drivers to merge them together?
