    Default Problems with the speaker - mixer connection

    Hello again!

    Now I am having a bit problem with connecting the speakers to the mixer. I am using a little bit older passive speakers, but they are still superb. Now, I was trying to get things going with the speakers, so I pluged them to the amplifier, and connected the amplifier to the Master RCA Output on my Denon DN-X1600 mixer. Now connection between the amplifier and the speakers was good, as I could hear it, as well as the connection between my mixer and Traktor software (I monitored that via headphones). I have my mixer on MIDI mode.

    The problem obviously lies between the mixer and the amplifier. Is there something wrong with the mixer settings? What can I do here?

    Thanks so muck for help!

    I'm confused here. If you can hear it through the speakers and through the headphones what's not working? Is it a purpose built speaker amp or a home stereo amp?

    It's absolutely impossible for us to work out what might be wrong with your mixer settings unless you can be bothered to upload a detailed series of photos or something. Just check that the crossfader isn't over on the wrong side, the right line faders are up, the master volume is up, you have no effects enabled, your traktor output routing is correct, etc etc.

    Yes, I expressed myself wrong, you can hear a silent bang when you disconnect the speakers from the amp and its a speakers build amp.

    No effects were on, and the crossfaders aren't working yet on MIDI.

    Other settings of the mixer don't have any effect on the speakers, I believe. I have Traktor output routing on the mixer outputs, so thats fine, so I can't really figure it out, but I can send you some photos of the connections, Traktor settings.

    The DN-X1600 is still an analogue mixer. It may be outputting midi, but the faders, EQs etc still do what they normally do. Can you see an output on the channel VU meters?

    That pop doesn't really mean anything. If you can take some screen shots of your audio setup and audio routing windows in traktor that'll give us a clue.

    @fullenglishpint

    The only output is coming out on master VA meter(I will post the picture), and I can't control the volume via channel faders. I've cosolted my friend and he said that the channel and X-fader will be usable when I will connect the speakers.

    Since you are using midi I can assume you are mixing internally, so no need to connect the amplifier to the sound card not the mixer.

    Dude, since he's using a DN-X1600 external mixer you can assume he's mixing externally. And the mixer is the sound card. Sorry to shoot you down!
