After reading this thread I've bought some new stuff that's been mentioned that I'm really feeling. I've done a little mix of the new stuff and some bits I was already into that I think fit into this sound.

Check it out and let me know what you think: http://www.mixcloud.com/djalexwild/future-bass-mix/

Mixing "Post-Dubstep" is what I love doing since someone mentioned it a couple months ago either here or on DSF. I explored it immediately and now I'm addicted to it. But it's not post dubstep, future garage, or whatever some people want to call it. It's just a version dubstep that's different. Some artists take influences from R&B, juke, or even techno and mend them with dubstep. Don't go around saying you mix post dubstep... it's not right. Also it's not all 130. I've seen songs from 125-142 BPM.

This is the song of the summer for me:

    Other artists to look at:
    Teeth
    Ramadanman (Pearson Sound)
    Zomby
    James Blake
    Boddika (1/2 of Instra:mental)
    Bok Bok
    Fis-T
    Mount Kimbie
    Redlight
    A1 Bassline
    Addison Groove
    Canblaster
    High Power Boys
    SBTRKT (New album out today!)
    Jacques Greene
    Lil Silva
    Loefah
    French Fries
    Jay Weed
    Jamie XX

Here are some good websites to look into:
http://rinse.fm/ (look for mixes by DJ Oneman, BenUFO, Bok Bok, or any guest listed above)
boilerroom.tv (watch there live shows or the old recorded shows)
    http://postdubstep.tumblr.com/

Here is some labels to look through:
    502
    Night Slugs
    Swamp81
    Young Turks
    Tighten Up Records

agree... sounds a lot more garage or rnb influence than dubstep.

i don't know why that article is grouping it with bass music. bass music is the opposite side of the spectrum.

it's basically rnb/soul tunes produced with edm foundation. some of the beats are dubstep, some breaks, some garage etc. etc.

whatever you want to call it it's the hot shit right now.

Pitchfork will classify it as bass music because of James Blake. They use him as a standard for this sound. Listen to limit to your love and you can see why it's bass music.
