It's really sad. The DJTT forms should be a place where people can go with legitimate concerns and not be called a retard, worthless, or D-Bag. I know the internet culture of the world has declined rapidly since its creation, but at least have the people in the same community be helpful to each other. You kever know, someone on here might be able to get you a gig in the future, have a tech job for you, or become a business partner. This place could be so much more. It could be a tool to help bedroom DJs get their experience in a club, or have established artists stay relevant by talking with fans. But if the forms continue to be a hub for snarky remarks and hateful feedback, the site may never grow.

it is a great friendly place,i have been here from pretty much the start.
the problem is respect, new people who come the forum are some times lazy and instead of searching the forum, they ask a question that's been asked 100 times, and expect someone else to find the answer, and i am all for helping people, and there are some amazing people on this forum that go well out there way to help people.

But it pisses me off when people come on the forum with 1 or 2 post counts to ask a question, get someone to do the work then piss off.putting nothing back in to the community.

Most bodies round here are fantastic and hugely helpful, but there are some properly opinionated chumps with a misplaced sense of entitlement turning up these days. As people have already said, it goes hand in hand with the place growing. Hopefully most of them will crawl back under whatever rock they came out from, or learn some manners ...

You're right when it comes to the potential for gig hookups and knowledge sharing - in the years I've been here it's been ace for that, but some people need to learn you gotta give to get ... in the words of Futurama - Karma dude! (does anyone want to hold hands and sway?)

I've noticed that since TP2 came out there have been alot more people asking for instant help without doing any background reading first. There was another surge when the S4/TSP2 deal launched, lot's more new people looking for setup help.

I'm not a veteran at all, but when I joined I got a whole bunch of help with what I needed (mainly from fullenglishpint, cheers dude ), so have tried to help others in the same way.

However, and this is not an excuse at all, does anyone else think that the search function on this forum is pretty useless? It usually takes me ages to find anything remotely useful. Maybe that's just me...

I think it's all the young people. Youth has no respect for anything these days.

To be honest, I've gotten the feeling myself that the forums have become less friendly in recent times. But I guess that's a part of it's popularity. More people, more crapheads.

I still wouldn't call the forum unfriendly though. I mean, I know a few forums that are so extremely unfriendly that I just stopped visiting them. For some reason, many other DJing related sites seem to be full of massive puffed-up idiots. Compared to those, this is still probaly the most happy and cheerful place in the world and will be for a while.
