Good point, I did jump a gun a little.

Still, baby steps. The current system is still full of minor bugs but the rate at which they are being fixed is impressive, at least with the ones I've noticed and reported.

I think that big black toolbar across the top of everything now will make a big difference though. It's a massive reminder (spesh with a little red box with a number) every time you do a search or something.

I just want to stop using facebook. D:

edit: I seem to remember reading that Picasa was to be renamed "Google Photos" and be accessible through the photo tab. Did I make that up?

If I click on photos in the top bar it takes me to my picasa album. I'm sure it's coming with all the integration stuff, but I'm not sure where it is yet. The other thing I'm not real sure about is how buzz integrates into all of this.

I think it basically is the same thing. I'm not all that familiar with buzz but isn't the following circle system pretty much the same?

buzz got shut down before i could care to see what it was.

wave on the other hand... why did that get shut down?/ why isnt it part of +?

It kinda is incorporated into google docs, just without the timeline aspect. It's still running if you want to try it, and even though it's not being developed any more by google I think the Apache Software Foundation are working on it now.

Go log into google docs with a friend and do that now. It's awesome for writing essays as a group and stuff like that!

Not enough innovation?

It's a combonation of facebook and twitter which is intergrated into ALL of googles online products, vastly improved privacy settings and a plethora of privacy features, allows post editing, has the "hangout" video chat rooms which allow you to surf or whatever as a group and is less buggy than facebook even while in beta testing. It is also going to feature apps for all mobile operating systems and some seriously awesome browser plugins and extensions.

Oh- and you can actually delete your data. And they're not selling your data. No joke.

I would say it still needs to integrate into google calendar more so you can share events through it rather than go over to the calendar site. That and some sort of public groups people can join. I'm sure that'll get done at some point, seems pretty obvious.

yes all these features sound really neat.

but ask yourself this, did you sign up to facebook because of the little features? why did you sign up to facebook in the first place, why do you still have an account?

I signed up to facebook because it was better than myspace.

I signed up to google+ because it was better than facebook.
