Motorized jogs

I'm in the process of making my own Traktor controller, at some point i thought about motorized jogs, my first idea was a reflective encoder attached to the platter seeing the codewheel (which would be the underside of the vinyl) trough the hole in the platter. The only problem is that it would need some sort of rotor for the optocoupler.

I just received a SCS.1d and it seems to be fully supported in T2.0.3 with the latest firmware + darouter patch available on Stanton's forums.

Maybe you could piece this out?
