I'm sorry, I wasn't talking club setups / Digital Vinyl. Actually, I rarely see anyone spinning digital around here so I might not be competent to name something "industry standard". But I do think that it is the best selling/widest used DJ software around. Think of all the Bedroom DJs.

I used to do tech support for a large electronics manufacturer and the biggest complaints amongst users was that the mp3 players were too hard to use. One button did too many things. You had to go through a menu or two just to play a song.

The Ipod on the other hand was designed with the end user in mind. Playing a song on it was easy and this was most important to the customer. You could select songs with one hand and play them.
    That's what made it popular.

And that's the problem with Traktor Pro, it does not do the things that are most important to the customers (pro or bedroom), well. You should not have to do crazy work arounds to do the basics.

I still can't figure out ipods....

how about a play, track seek, pause, stop, and menu button and a d-pad, would that be so hard?

I want a damn "Add to current playlist" button. That would have made my life so much easier... I miss my Creative Zen for that...

it's all about Zune... F*ck iPoods...

And back on track, I do notice Traktor isn't used much in clubs I frequent. It's a shame - I really like it. I'm actually trying to spearhead a campaign to show off what Traktor can do... let's see how that goes...
