Surely you don't use that LPD8 alognside you're S4 since the S4 can in theory control all of the necessary Traktor functions? I never understand how people can waste time being a dick on the internet, lifes too short. To the OP, I would just map your code and be done with it.

I hate shift as well, but would more than likely be better just to use a ohm64 or the likes instead and just set it up like that

I use my LPD8 with the turntables my club supplies. I've mapped it just like an X1 actually.

Just because I think throwing money at a problem doesn't fix it doesn't make me a dick any more than you being sarcastic and obnoxious doesn't make you a pretentious asshole.


Also, that's kind of like saying why do you use a pencil and an eraser to write when the pencil already has an eraser on the end. When I'm saying you don't need 4 pens to write an essay.

You have a maschine and you want 4 x1s? If people can control all they need to in ableton with an apc40 I don't get why you would need 4 x1s? Why not just buy an apc40, map that and your maschine. That should be more than enough for what you want.

I certainly wouldn't read any essay you've written topps, that might just be the single worst attempt at simile I've ever seen. If you thought I was throwing money at a problem fine, but really not what I asked and I think you prob could have just said exactly that.

I don't want 4 x1's. My original post was just asking if it was possible. I don't have any experience with the X1, but I have been told by NI that you can't use more than one maschine on any one computer but that the X1 was designed different so that you could use two together. So I thought I'd ask if 4 was possible.

My friend was playing on my decks the other night and was interested in buying some controllers and he said he didn't really want jog wheels since he preferred the cue points, when I showed him the mixtrack pro and s4. He picked things up quite quick and said that he'd rather buy something he could learn than having to upgrade. I was looking for what I would go for, I personally think learning would be easier to have all the controls at hand, I've been djing a while and like it that way and I like the idea of a slimmed down set up since I'd go for only midi control. So I've just been brainstorming what I would buy if I didn't have my current set up, nothing else out at the moment really excites me personally and the new offer on the X1s made me wonder if that was an option.
