George Clinton-esque wobbl bass tips needed
I'm trying to create wobble basses that have a more funky George Clinton-esque edge rather than the more intense reese type sounds, but am struggling to nail it, so was wondering if anyone could help a brother out. The sort of sound I'm after is that used by the likes of A Skillz, Featurecast, Stickybuds, Nick Thayer etc in their more midtempo funk style productions, I've included links to some examples below. I'm using stuff like all the NI synths, all the Arturia synths, also running Logic with all its synths. Can anybody give me any tips where I'm going wrong?
Examples of what I'm trying to do:-
[EDIT] I've upped these clips to soundcloud now.

This one is a bit of a more older sound:-

This one is a heavy distorted bass with a kinda elasticky feel

All help will be rewarded with a mass of karma points

If you post some Soundcloud links or even some youtube videos you might have more of a chance getting people to listen. divshare links just scream of virus trap.

have you thought about contacting the producers you've mentioned and asking for some basic pointers. nick thayer is pretty active on twitter, might be worth sayin what up.
the worst they can say is that they wont help! not all producers and djs are total dicks

I've changed the clip links to soundcloud now, so its easier to check them out.
