I think we'll see controllers w/ software over tablets
no one wants to swerve their finger around a circle over twisting a knob.
or do fader slams on a touch screen.

Those on about controllers without the use of a laptop,

I have absolutely no idea, ive never gave the thing a proper look, just on what Digi DJ tips wrote about it holding 20k tracks
Im guessing no as it only has an RCA and 1/4in main output.

CDJs are fucked - Too expensive, CDs are on there way out as well. Its all downloads/streaming.
TT will stay but mainly for DVS, producing records are expensive and will eventually get faded out imo.
More VJing maybe.
Hopefully Wobble Dubstep dies!!!!!
laugh all you want but most analysts are calling microsofts metroui based products the best theyve ever made.
the new interface for "apps" is simply just html 5 and javascript. something hundreds of thousands of developers know how to use, and use well. for more robust apps, microsoft has a built in developer base roughly 10000 times the size of ios.
theyre taking the whole "mobile apps development environment" off the table and just giving experienced developers a new interface for industry standard languages.
from a user standpoint. windows phone and windows 8 look and operate the same way. so you learn to use a windows product, you can use them all. phone, desktop, laptop, or tablet. and your applications will run on all of them. (the phones run apps on either c# or visual basic with a silverlight or xna interface).
if youve not seen their launch demos. theyre really impressive. microsoft is in it for the long run. no industry or financial analyst sees their market position changing anytime soon. theyre still going to have a 90% marketshare and nothing that anyone else is doing is going to change that.
