Such a feat can only be accomplished on a Mac. PCs don't allow devices to be reconnected while the program is running, I believe.

you've not used a PC i take it ... of course they can be unplugged/reconnected ... it's called plug and play, been around since win95. Classless drivers are built into all modern USB kit for this very purpose.

In fact if it wasn't for this ability i would have had difficulty finishing a set when i was unfortunate to own a VMS4, it would lock up all the time and need unplugging ... fortunately i had an ADJ4 doing the sound or i really would have hit a wall ..

Edit: Just tried doing this with my MixTrack and TP2. I guess I read some misinformation somewhere, but I do have to reboot Ableton if my APC40 gets unplugged.
